Where My Friend?

When Kevin was going to be out of town for a whole week I was determined to get someone to visit me. I was so excited that Natalie (who is a teacher and was off track) was able to come visit. Not just because Kevin was gone but because we love having her around. Natalie was my roommate when I meet Kevin and we all became great friends. Life with two kids is a lot different than what she is use to but she was a trooper and helped with the kids and didn't mind our boring everyday life. Kaleb of course started demanding her time. He kept asking me where his friend went when she was not in the room. He has a new best friend!

One night we hit up Voodoo Donuts with the kids and even bought a $5 box that killed my healthy eating. Another day we went to Powell's books and drove across the Columbia River into Washington. And another day we just went to Costco, played games and watched a movie. All of which we did not take pictures.

When Kevin returned we did hit up a few more of the Portland sites.

The Willamette River in downtown Portland.

We rode the MAX downtown to the Saturday Market. This is a fun way to see all the unique personalities of Portland. Oh and see downtown and eat an Elephant Ear, yummy!

There was sun and rain on and off all day, here are some of the sunny pics!

Kaleb's new best friend.

Please don't mind the wet pants, we are not doing so hot on the potty training, oops!

What a gorgeous site, the Columbia River gorge that is!
