The Coast

Since living here in the great North West we have been told you do not visit the "beach" it is the coast. So trying to fit in we went to the coast even though it was not going to be what I consider beach weather. The coast is definitely a different experience than what I am use to, but we loved it in its own way!

We went to the Maritime Museum and toured a boat (sorry I don't know what kind, it made me feel a bit sea sick)!

We also went to the Astoria Column and Kevin threw an air plane off the top. The funny part was that he ended up in a large evergreen tree as a result. Funny story if you want to hear it!
Kaleb played in the sand in his winter coat, he loved it....
until he was cold and I assume not feeling well.
Despite the wind and cold, the coast is a beautiful place!

Yeeeeah, the beach is nice in August. Any other time of year the nice weather is luck of the draw. Oh AND I've lived here all my life and never referred to it as "the coast" so I think you are perfectly normal for calling it a beach. Hahaha. Glad Kaleb got to use his winter jacket one more time before he grew out of it!! (even if it's in June...) Looks like you guys have been having tons of fun!
